September 13 - October 25, 2022 | Loss of a Spouse
Tuesdays 2:00-3:30 PM in Celebration Center Classroom
In this weekly grief support group, you will find a hope, firm and secure, that gives you an anchor to begin to understand and even be transformed by your experience of grief. This six week session will focus on the grief that is experienced with the loss of a spouse.
It is hard to believe that it really happened - your spouse has died. No matter how long you were together, or how much you had thought about the possibility, no one is ever prepared for the death of the one with whom they have shared life. Friends and family want to help and encourage, but the person who can comfort you the most is the one you are now grieving. With everything in your life being turned upside down, you find yourself asking endless questions, “Who am I now?” ‘How will I go on without them?” Your world, your relationships and even your faith become unsure as you grieve. In this six-week study, you will find words and tools to guide you as you move through these days. Connecting with others who share the same grief from the death of a spouse will let you know that you are not alone. You will come to see the ways that God is present to you and is actively guiding you to a firm and secure new hope.
