Meet the staff of Cornerstone


Darrell Bozeman - Executive Pastor

Darrell Bozeman is our Executive Pastor. As such, he provides oversight for all ministries and the operations of Cornerstone. Darrell and his family have attended Cornerstone for over 28 years. He has been an Elder at Cornerstone for over 25 years. Previously, Darrell was an educator and held various leadership and program management positions at engineering software development companies in the automotive and aerospace industries. Darrell holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Technology (Computer-Aided Design/Manufacturing) from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Birmingham Theological Seminary. //

Matt Grimm - Pastor of Adult Discipleship

Matt joined Cornerstone staff in 2018 after spending over 20 years in mission ministry to university students and leading short-term international mission teams. Matt has a B.A. in Secondary Education from Purdue University and an M.Div. from Covenant Theological Seminary. Matt has a passion for Bible Study, theology, and equipping the saints for service in God’s Kingdom. He continues to lead mission teams to Bolivia when he is able and enjoys sharing the gospel cross-culturally. Matt and his wife Julie live in Brighton, have two children, and have been members at Cornerstone for over ten years. //

Arthur Hunt - Pastor to Seniors & Pastoral Care

Dr. Arthur Hunt is part of the pastoral staff at Cornerstone EPC, assisting in worship, teaching regularly, and overseeing Primetimers, the senior's ministry at Cornerstone. Dr. Hunt received a Bachelor of Theology degree from William Tyndale College, a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry from Covenant Theological Seminary. He and his wife Linda have three adult children and nine grandchildren. //

Brian Tweedie - Pastor of Community Outreach & Missions

Rev. Brian Tweedie has been a part of our staff since 1996, coming to us from nine years as part of the pastoral staff at Ward EPC. Brian holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan and received his Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary. He has a heart for those hurting and in need and brings that compassion to the leadership of our community and world outreach and representing Cornerstone in the county-wide ministry Love INC (Love in the Name of Christ). Brian and his wife, Debbie, have four children. //

Chris Winans - Lead Pastor

Reverend Chris Winans joined the staff in 2013 after completing a Masters of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. Pastor Chris stepped into the position of Lead Pastor in 2018. He has a passion for engaging and equipping people to have a growing journey in Christ while seeking answers to difficult questions that hinder faith in a hostile world. Chris also holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Masters in Music Performance from the University of Northern Colorado and worked for five years as a jazz director and educator before being called to pastoral ministry. He resides in Brighton with his wife, Carey, and four children. //


Donna Rae Alberta - Director of Senior Care

Donna holds a BA in English Literature from Rutgers - The State University of New Jersey. She previously served at Cornerstone for many years in Women’s Ministries and Pastoral Care, and most recently at Love INC as their Development Director. A recent newcomer to the world of widowhood, Donna, is the mother of four beloved adult sons, four wonderful daughters-in-love, and twelve grandchildren. Her leisure activities include gardening, golfing, and enjoying her growing family. //

Sally Jo Friday - Church & Community Life Director & Women's Ministry

Sally Jo Friday left her professional career to be a stay at home Mother in 1997 and served as a volunteer in Children's and Youth ministry at Cornerstone for 15 years before officially joining the Cornerstone staff in 2005. Sally Jo now serves as the Church & Community Life Director. Sally Jo is the mother of two grown adults and resides in Howell with her husband, where she continues to use her gifts of hospitality to minister to the church and community. //

Renee Hinkle-De Groot - Children's Ministry Director

Mrs. Renee Hinkle-De Groot has been involved in Children's Ministry at Cornerstone since the 1990s. She was the coordinator for Kingdom Seekers for many years and a volunteer in Student Ministries. Renee worked at the University of Michigan in Survey Research for many years before joining the Cornerstone staff as the Early Childhood Coordinator in 2015. She is currently acting as interim Children's Ministry Director. Renee loves serving the little ones and their families at Cornerstone in an organized yet creative way. Renee and her husband, Nick, live in Brighton. They have three adult children and two grandchildren. //

Jacob Ingram - Director of Middle School Ministries & Associate Worship Director

Jacob Ingram has been leading worship since he was fourteen years old, and it has been a huge passion of his. Jacob married his beautiful wife Mallory in 2017, and they welcomed their son Silas in 2019. Jacob and Mallory have a huge heart for worship. They also have a huge heart for community and young adults. They believe that God is doing great things in this next generation. //

Steve Menlen - Technology Director

Mr. Steve Menlen joined our staff in 2006, coming to us from Bang & Olufsen of America, where he was a system designer. Steve started volunteering in sound and audio at his church as a teenager and has been involved in church technology ever since. He has worked in the audio/video field for over 15 years. Steve has also been part of two church plants where he enjoyed helping build a church from the ground up. He and his wife, Krista, whom he met at Cornerstone, live in Howell and have one son. //

Sandra Nettleingham - Cornerstone Christian School Principal

Mrs. Nettleingham received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Music from Cedarville University. She completed her Master of Science in Administration, majoring in Educational Leadership, at Madonna University in 2007. Her teaching experiences include English, Music, Creative Writing, Yearbook, Speech, Drama, and Preschool. Mrs. Nettleingham taught music and preschool at CCS before moving to school administration. Seven years ago, Mrs. Nettleingham became Principal at Cornerstone Christian School, where her passion is to educate students with a Christian worldview. //

Don Nieman - Worship Director

For Don, worship is more than just singing our favorite songs (Ephesians 1.12: so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of his glory). Don's passion is for the community of God's people and to grow as a worshiper and disciple of Christ. Following Jesus, his calling in life is to bring as many people along for the ride as he can. Don believes that there is a place for everyone to use their gifts in meaningful ways, and he desires to equip all of God's people to use those gifts for God's glory. With his wife Wendy (a professional pianist), daughter Kira (student at Azusa Pacific University), and son Joshua (Junior in HS), Don comes to Cornerstone with over 30 years of experience as a Worship Director, conductor, and musician. Don adds that: "...aside from worshiping God, spending time with my family brings me the most joy in life. However, cooking, being with good friends, and playing drums are close runner-ups." //

Jonathan Reid - Director of High School Ministries

Jonathan Reid is our new Director of High School Ministries. Jonathan is married to Maebeth, and they have two children, a boy and a girl, Wesley (3) and Emerson (1). He’s been in full-time ministry for five years after graduating from Rochester University with a B.S. in Biblical Studies. Jonathan is a multi-instrumentalist who loves to lead worship, and he’s an avid Detroit sports fan. //


Michelle Beaker - Caring Ministries, Deacons and Office Support

Blythe Bieber - Wedding Coordinator

Ms. Blythe Bieber serves as our Wedding Coordinator, helping the bride and groom coordinate all aspects (flowers, photography, special music, attendants, and ceremony rehearsal) of the planning process as they prepare for their wedding day. Blythe has worshiped and served in many ways here at the church for several years, including coordinating the Knitter’s group, and is active in the Sheepfold on Wednesday evenings. //

Kaitlin Christner - Kingdom Seekers Coordinator

Mrs. Kaitlin Christner has been attending Cornerstone since 1995. She graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Language Arts, minor in Elementary Education. Kaitlin got married at Cornerstone in 2010 to her high school sweetheart Jesse. They have four children; Jackson, Emerie, Cooper, and Samuel. Before becoming a stay at home mom, Kaitlin worked at Hornung Elementary in Brighton in the RTI program, tutoring students struggling in reading and math. She is excited to again work with children, watching them learn and grow in their walk with Jesus Christ! //

Kathy Curley - Office Support

Emily Dancer - Elementary Coordinator

Mrs. Emily Dancer has attended Cornerstone since 2012. She graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a degree in Elementary Education. Before joining the Cornerstone Staff as Elementary Coordinator, she taught fourth grade in Huron Valley Schools. Emily is excited to see the Lord use her passion for teaching to help make a difference in Cornerstone children and their families' lives. She lives in Howell with her husband, Adam, and their daughter, Elizabeth, and son, Zachary. //

Todd Davis - Facilities Maintenance

Mr. Todd Davis has the distinction of being our first Facilities Maintenance team member, having come on staff in 1993. In helping to care for our constantly expanding facilities and the large number of events occurring here, Todd continues to do a conscientious job. //

Amy Good - Receptionist and Office Support

Pam Hill - Business Office Leader

Mrs. Pam Hill is our dedicated Business Office Leader, commuting daily from Ypsilanti, MI. She spent her early years in Southern California, and her family moved back to Ohio in 1966. Pam has been doing non-profit accounting since 1988 with a community action agency and has been at Cornerstone since 2003. Pam has three grown sons, two grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.

Patty Johnson - Office Support

Mrs. Patty Johnson serves as Office Support in the Cornerstone office, also assisting with the Worship Ministry. Patty has a life-long love of music, studying it in college and playing the clarinet with Cornerstone's orchestra and the Livingston County Concert Band. Before joining the church staff, Patty served the church as a Deacon and also taught Sunday School. She has been the coordinator for the Community Bible Study Day class that meets at Cornerstone since 2007. Patty and her husband, Steve, have two adult children. //

Laurie Kelbaugh - Office Support Leader

Mrs. Laurie Kelbaugh serves as Office Support Leader. Laurie has many years of experience working for Christian organizations. She counts it a true blessing to work behind the scenes at Cornerstone, helping to keep the staff organized and efficient. Laurie and her husband, Chuck, have two married daughters and two grandchildren. //

Barbara Roberts - Bookkeeper

Mrs. Barbara Roberts has been a member of Cornerstone since 2001 and has served in a variety of volunteer positions. After receiving her MBA in 2012, she felt a calling to use her education in service to the Lord. Barbara worked as an assistant in the Finance department at EPC General Offices in Livonia and as the bookkeeper for an area church. She also works with our Caring Ministries team, coordinating funeral luncheons. She and her husband, Mark, live in Hartland and have three grown sons and two daughters-in-law.

Amy Rose - Missions & Office Support

Amy Rose joined the staff in 2017 with nearly 20 years of experience in missions. Amy graduated with a B.S. in Business from Indiana University. While at IU, God drew Amy to Himself and gave her a passion for sharing His love with others. Amy and her husband, Dan, spent ten years in campus ministry with CRU before God called them to serve within the local church. Amy also worked as a Finance Assistant with EPC World Outreach for 6 ½ years before coming to Cornerstone. Dan and Amy, along with their two teenage children, live in Ypsilanti, where they are seeking to be the church in their neighborhood.

Kristi Shaffer - Early Childhood Coordinator

Mrs. Kristi Shaffer has attended Cornerstone since 2002. She graduated from Michigan State with a degree in mathematics and secondary education. Kristi has been married to her wonderful husband Bill since 2009 and has two kids, Billy and Elizabeth. Before having kids, she taught high school math in Brighton and Farmington. Kristi is excited to see our church's young children grow in their faith and walk with the Lord.

Kayla Torres - Communications Coordinator & Office Support

Mrs. Kayla Torres joined the staff in 2014. She earned a Web Designer Certification from Oakland Community College. Kayla felt a calling to serve in a church, and God provided a position for her that allows her to use her ambitions for God’s Kingdom.

Vickie Vihinen - Maintenance Team Leader

Mrs. Vickie Vihinen brings a special woman's touch to her position as Facilities Maintenance team member. An ardent prayer warrior and mother of five children (two now home safe with the Lord), Vickie blesses us all with her words of encouragement and faith. She and her husband, Jim, have three adult children and one grandson. //
